Insider tips: If it’s sunny (yeah, right), there’s a handy line of trees on the right hand side of the field (as you face the stage) for shade, and always enter and leave the field on the right hand side too – the vast majority of the crowds crush in from the marketplace end. Only get here early for popular headliners. Don’t make the rookie mistake of camping out here all day to reserve your space for a band on at 5pm, you’ll be able to get plenty close enough just by turning up at ten to and you’re missing the goddamn festival. When to get there: Ten minutes before the band you want to watch is on.
